OCD True or False · Version 1.0 · Effective / last updated 2026-10-14
Developer and policy dates
OCD True or False is the developer/service name. Privacy and breach contact: ocdtrueorfalse@gmail.com. Effective and last updated 2026-10-14; version 1.0. This notice describes the app, not the separate data practices of external websites or stores.
Age and local information
Access is for adults 18+ only. Birth-date fields are processed temporarily on your device, never written to storage, logged, or transmitted. Only a local pass/fail flag is retained. A failed check blocks app access on that installation. After eligibility and first-run notices, chosen pattern, preferences, Favorites, activity counts, guide/journey progress, optional self-entered urge ratings, hierarchy steps, and optional Thought Records are saved locally. These records are not uploaded by the app.
What we do not collect
There are no app accounts, analytics, ads, attribution integrations, social tracking, cloud sync, or uploads of health records, journal content, ratings, or learning history. Notes are not analysed, scored, monitored, or used to send risk alerts. The app does not assess crisis risk. No location, contacts, camera, microphone, or shared-file access permission is requested. File imports use the system document picker; exports use the system share sheet only at your request.
Purchases and external destinations
Purchases are handled by Google Play Billing on Android and by StoreKit through RevenueCat on iOS. RevenueCat receives purchase/access information and an app-generated identifier to verify Lifetime Unlock and restore access; network requests expose connection metadata such as IP address. Optional advertising-identifier collection and SDK diagnostics are disabled. Neither receives your local journal, ratings, or learning records from this app. Google and RevenueCat retain data under their own policies. Optional links, email, and exports send data only to destinations you choose; those destinations may receive connection metadata. There is no sale of personal data or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Purposes and legal bases
Local processing makes requested learning features and eligibility controls work. Purchase processing provides the optional content you buy and meets store/transaction requirements. Where applicable, the bases are providing requested services or performing a purchase contract, meeting legal obligations, and legitimate interests in secure access and support. Optional notifications require your device permission and can be turned off. Do not send sensitive notes by email. Support email is used only to respond to your request and handle applicable obligations, not for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them or uninstall. Native builds disable Android app backup and exclude iOS app storage from backup. Expo Go, browser storage, and device-managed transfers are controlled by their host environments. Settings → Delete all my data clears app-local records, preferences, and first-run state and cancels scheduled reminders. It does not erase Google Play/RevenueCat purchase records, support emails, or exports saved outside the app. The complete v2 progress JSON backups DO include Thought Records, hierarchy steps, and Deep Dive progress. External copies must be deleted at their destination.
Security
Data minimisation and device-local storage limit transmission. The app does not add encryption to local records, and cannot promise absolute security. Use a device lock, keep software current, and protect exported files. Purchase connections use the providers’ encrypted network services. Contact the privacy email if you believe there is a security incident; do not include sensitive notes. Where notification is legally required, affected people and regulators will be notified through appropriate available channels.
Children
This app is 18+ only and is not directed to children or teens. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A failed age check retains only its local failure flag and does not initialise purchase or learning features. If you believe information about a minor was sent to us, contact ocdtrueorfalse@gmail.com to request deletion. App-local information can be removed by uninstalling; store records are controlled by the store.
Your choices and rights
You can review and delete local records in the app, export ordinary progress, and revoke notifications in device settings. For support records or rights requests, email ocdtrueorfalse@gmail.com; explain the request without sending health notes. Depending on applicable law you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of optional consent, and appeal. We cannot retrieve records that exist only on your device. Store purchase-data requests must also be directed to the relevant provider. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
California and Washington
Where applicable, California residents may request access, correction, deletion, and information about processing, without discrimination, and may use an authorised agent subject to appropriate verification. The app does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Washington residents may exercise applicable consumer-health-data rights, including access, withdrawal of consent, and deletion. The app does not transmit local health notes or ratings, sell consumer health data, or use health-facility geofencing. Contact the privacy email for requests or appeals and your state regulator for unresolved complaints.
EU and UK
Where applicable, EU/EEA and UK residents have the rights described above and may complain to their local supervisory authority (or the UK ICO). There is no automated decision-making that produces a health judgment. The app does not automatically upload local notes. Billing providers and email services may process their separate transaction/support data internationally under their own applicable safeguards and notices. Contact us for available information about data we actually hold.
Changes
Material updates to this notice will be identified in-app with a revised version and date before materially changed processing begins. Privacy or breach questions: ocdtrueorfalse@gmail.com.
