What this is

Most OCD material explains the problem and stops there. This hands you pages to write on.

A 155-page plain-English guide to how the loop actually works, plus 18 printable pages you fill in — 10 tracking tools and 8 word-for-word scripts. Every companion page comes twice: a print edition, and a fillable edition you can type straight into on a phone or tablet.

Use it as a tracker, from day one

  • Your First Rep — a single page telling you exactly where to begin, so the first decision is already made for you.
  • Daily Thought-Tracking — the thought, what followed it, and what it cost. One entry a day.
  • What a Useful Entry Looks Like — a worked example, already filled in, so you can see the level of detail that keeps tracking useful instead of letting it turn into another review ritual.
  • Trigger Awareness — what set it off, written down before the day blurs it.

Then watch it over thirty days

  • The 30-Day Compulsion Reduction Tracker — one grid, thirty boxes. Change becomes something you can see rather than something you have to remember.
  • Weekly Compulsion Log and ERP Exposure Log — what you practised, and what actually happened afterwards.
  • The Wins Journal — a counterweight to a memory that keeps the hard days and drops the good ones.
  • When OCD Gets Loud — an emergency plan you fill in on a calm day, so it already exists on the day it is needed.

For the conversations you have been putting off

Eight scripts, word for word: talking to your doctor, asking for an OCD referral, telling a partner, asking a partner to stop reassuring you, telling parents or family, telling friends, what to say when someone asks you for reassurance, and explaining it at work. Plus a page on choosing your moment.

Built to be understood, not decoded

Plain language throughout — no clinical vocabulary to translate before you can use it. If you do not know which subtype fits, the quick lookup on page 142 starts from the fear you actually have rather than the clinical name. There is a self-check page too, written as a self-check and not a diagnosis.

What you get — six files

  • The OCD Field Guide — 155 pages. Every subtype, the hidden compulsions most people never name, the language of OCD, and the tools that help. Built to read on a screen, with a clickable contents sidebar so you can jump straight to your subtype.
  • The Tracker Pack — the tracking tools above, in print and fillable editions.
  • The Script Guide — the eight scripts, in print and fillable editions.
  • A Start Here page — what to open first.

How you'll actually use it

It's a tracker you write in, not a book you mean to read

The 155-page guide explains how the loop works. These are the pages you write on — and they start working the day it downloads.

  1. The Daily Thought-Tracking worksheet from the printable Tracker Pack, supplied as both a print version and a type-in fillable version.

    Day one

Start with one page, not the whole book

Your First Rep tells you exactly where to begin, so the first decision is already made for you. Then Daily Thought-Tracking: the thought, what followed it, and what it cost. One entry a day, by hand or typed straight into your phone.

  2. A worked example page showing a filled-in thought-tracking entry, so buyers can see the level of detail that makes the worksheets useful.

So you know you're doing it right

See a finished entry before you write your own

What a Useful Entry Looks Like is a page that is already filled in. It shows the level of detail that keeps tracking useful — and stops it quietly turning into another round of reviewing.

  3. A real page from The OCD Field Guide diagramming the OCD cycle from trigger to intrusive thought to compulsion to temporary relief, and where ERP breaks it.

    Over thirty days

Make the change something you can see

The 30-Day Compulsion Reduction Tracker is one grid and thirty boxes, so progress stops being something you have to remember. Alongside it, a Weekly Compulsion Log, an ERP Exposure Log for what you practised and what happened after, and a Wins Journal as a counterweight to a memory that keeps the hard days.

  4. A real page from the Script Guide giving word-for-word wording for telling a doctor about OCD symptoms.

When you have to explain it

Words for the conversations you have been putting off

Eight scripts, written out in full — the doctor's appointment, asking for a referral, telling a partner, asking them to stop reassuring you, and explaining it at work. Plus a page on choosing your moment.

HEAR WHAT IS INSIDE

A walk through it, in under a minute

Narrated. Turn your sound on, or read the page instead — everything it says is written above.

Who this is for

This was written for people who —

  • notice the same worry arriving in the same words every day
  • keep checking something that has already been checked
  • replay a conversation for hours, hunting for the part they got wrong
  • feel better for an hour after reassurance, then need to ask again

If more than one of those is familiar, that is the loop this was built for.

Straight answers

Everything you'd want to know before spending anything

Using this without it turning into a compulsion

A fair worry, and one most self-help material ignores completely. Three rules for how these are meant to be used:

  • Read each page once. Re-reading it for the version that finally feels right is the compulsion wearing a study hat.
  • Set a timer. Twenty minutes, then stop, whether or not it feels finished. Stopping while it is still unresolved is the exercise, not a failure of it.
  • Never re-do a worksheet to get it right. There is no right. A messy first answer has already done its job.

And the thing these pages will never do: tell you whether your particular fear is true. Nothing can, and anything offering to is selling relief that expires within the hour.

I've tried worksheets before and nothing changed

Most worksheets ask you to weigh the evidence and argue the thought down. With OCD that backfires — examining the content is itself a compulsion, so the relief expires like every other kind, and the thought comes back carrying more authority than before.

Nothing in these pages asks you to disprove a thought, rate how likely it is, or gather evidence for and against it. The work is practising moving before the doubt clears.

What happens the second you pay

This is a digital download. Your files are on the order confirmation page immediately, and a backup link goes to your email in case you close the tab. There is no account to create and nothing to wait for.

On a phone they save to Files or Downloads like any other PDF, and you can come back and download them again whenever you want.

Can I print it?

Yes, and as many times as you like — it is yours to keep and reprint.

When you print, choose 100% or Actual Size rather than Fit to Page. Scaling is the usual reason margins come out clipped.

Where a title also includes a fillable edition, it is named in what's included above, so you can type instead of writing by hand.

Is this therapy?

No. These are self-practice materials built from published ERP methods — the same approach a therapist would work through with you, on paper, at your own pace. They are meant to support working with a professional, not to replace it.

If you are in crisis right now, this is not the right tool for today. Please reach a person who can help.

What if something's wrong with the file?

Wrong file, missing pages, or it will not open on your device — email and you will get a working copy. Within 30 days, no argument. A real person reads every message.

Made by Julian. Not a clinician — these are self-practice materials built from published ERP methods, not treatment. Questions go to ocdtrueorfalse@gmail.com and reach a person, usually within a business day.
